Följande information ges för varje enzym:
- Name of Restriction Enzyme : Accepterat namn på molekylen , enligt den internationellt antagna nomenklaturen och bibliografiska referenser . Obs: Vid alfabetisering ordnas enzymer först alfabetiskt efter akronymerna (allt före romerska siffror); sedan ordnas enzymer av en given akronym i alfabetisk ordning efter den romerska siffran, och behandlar siffran som en siffra och inte en sträng av bokstäver. Detta hjälper till att hålla posterna ordnade hierarkiskt samtidigt som de är alfabetiska. (Mer läsning: se avsnittet " Nomenklatur " i artikeln " Restriktionsenzym ".)
- PDB -kod : Kod som används för att identifiera strukturen av ett protein i PDB -databasen över proteinstrukturer. 3D-atomstrukturen hos ett protein ger mycket värdefull information för att förstå de intima detaljerna i dess verkningsmekanism.
- REBASE Number : Nummer som används för att identifiera restriktionsenzymer i REBASE restriktionsenzymdatabasen . Denna databas innehåller viktig information om enzymet såsom igenkänningssekvens , källa och isoschizomerer , såväl som andra data, såsom de kommersiella leverantörerna av enzymet.
- Källa : Organism som naturligt producerar enzymet.
- Igenkänningssekvens : Sekvens av DNA som känns igen av enzymet och till vilken det specifikt binder.
- Klipp : Visar klippplatsen och mönstret och produkterna från klippet. Igenkänningssekvensen och klippstället matchar vanligtvis, men ibland kan klippstället vara dussintals nukleotider bort från igenkänningsstället .
- Isoschizomerer och neoschizomerer : En isoschizomer är ett restriktionsenzym som känner igen samma sekvens som ett annat. En neoschizomer är en speciell typ av isoschizomer som känner igen samma sekvens som en annan, men skär på ett annat sätt. Ett maximalt antal av 8–10 vanligaste isoschizomerer är indikerade för varje enzym men det kan finnas många fler. Neoschizomerer visas med fet och grön typsnitt (t.ex.: BamHI ). När "Ingen per [datum]" anges betyder det att det inte fanns några registrerade isoschizomerer i databaserna det datumet med en tydligt definierad skärplats . Isoschizomerer indikerade med vitt teckensnitt och grå bakgrund motsvarar enzymer som inte finns med i de aktuella listorna, som i detta inte listade enzym: Abc123I
