Atlanta 500 Classic var ett Indy Racing League -evenemang som hölls på Atlanta Motor Speedway från 1998 till 2001.

Tidigare USAC- och CART- lopp hade hållits på banan från 1965. De första nationella mästerskapsloppen i Atlanta hölls på Atlanta Motordrome , en 2-mile (3,2 km) smutsoval, 1910. Senare AAA- och USAC-lopp hölls kl. Lakewood Speedway , en smutsoval i Atlanta.
