John George Pearson (5 oktober 1930 – 13 november 2021) var en engelsk romanförfattare och författare till biografier, särskilt av Ian Fleming (skaparen av James Bond ), av Sitwells och Kray-tvillingarna .

Liv och karriär

Pearson föddes i Epsom , Surrey . Han utbildades vid King's College School, Wimbledon , och Peterhouse, Cambridge , där han fick en dubbel först i historien. Han arbetade sedan för The Economist , BBC Television och The Sunday Times . Han var Ian Flemings assistent på Sunday Times och fortsatte med att skriva den första biografin om Fleming, The Life of Ian Fleming, publicerad 1966.

Pearson fick i uppdrag av Donald Campbell att krönika hans framgångsrika försök på landhastighetsrekordet 1964 i Bluebird CN7 , vilket resulterade i boken Bluebird and the Dead Lake .

Pearson hade också skrivit "true crime"-biografier, som The Profession of Violence , en redogörelse för uppgången och fallen för Kray-tvillingarna, som hade anlitat honom för att skriva deras biografi 1967.
