Cerrophidion godmani är en giftig grophuggormart som finns i södra Mexiko och Guatemala . Inga underarter är för närvarande erkända. Det är också känt som Godman's montane pit huggorm eller Godman's pit huggorm .

Etymologi

Det specifika namnet , godmani , är för att hedra den engelske zoologen Frederick DuCane Godman .

Beskrivning

Terrestra och måttligt kraftiga, vuxna av C. godmani är vanligtvis mindre än 55 cm (21,5 tum) i total längd, men växer ibland till mer än 75 cm (30 tum).

Geografisk räckvidd

Cerrophidion godmani finns i Mexiko i de mexikanska delstaterna Chiapas och sydöstra Oaxaca och i Guatemala . Populationer från söder om Guatemala tilldelas nu en ny art, Cerrophidion sasai . Typorten som anges är "nära Dueñas och på de andra delarna av Guatemalas bordland " .
