Taxonomi

Tidigare placerades detta släkte inom Orthalicidae .

Bostryx sensu stricto är typsläktet av underfamiljen Bostrycinae, men vissa arter av Bostryx sensu lato är placerade inom Bulimulinae. Det behövs ytterligare forskning för att klargöra vilka undersläkten som tillhör vilken underfamilj.
