Linda Kouvaras

Linda Kouvaras (född 1960) är en Melbourne -baserad kompositör med en bakgrund inom punk och new wave . Hennes kompositioner , som utforskar genreblandning , är fokuserade på sång och pianomusik och släpps på ABC Records och Move Records .

Kouvaras är också musikforskare vid Melbourne Conservatorium of Music vid University of Melbourne ; hennes forskningsintressen inkluderar australisk musik och genus och musik. Hennes bok, Loading the Silence: Australian Sound Art in the Post-Digital Age publicerades av Ashgate 2013 och fick Rebecca Coyle Publication Prize 2014. Hon är en av redaktörerna för den akademiska tidskriften Current Issues in Music .
