Patrick Laude

Patrick Laude är en forskare , författare och lärare. Hans verk handlar om förhållandet mellan mystik , symbolik och poesi , samt fokuserar på samtida andliga gestalter som Simone Weil , Louis Massignon och Frithjof Schuon .

Biografi

Född i Frankrike 1958, tog han en doktorsexamen i filosofi vid universitetet i Paris IV Sorbonne medan han studerade vid Ecole Normale Supérieure i Paris . Han kom till USA i början av åttiotalet och tog sin doktorsexamen . 1985 från Indiana University . Han började på Georgetown University 1991. Laudes vetenskapliga arbete är främst inriktat på jämförande mystik, den symboliska fantasin i religion och litteratur och västerländska tolkningar av asiatiska kontemplativa traditioner. Han är författare till flera böcker och många artiklar om dessa ämnen.
