Boletus semigastroideus är en art av secotioid svamp i familjen Boletaceae . Den beskrevs ursprungligen 1942 som Secotium areolatum av den Nya Zeeland-baserade mykologen Gordon Herriot Cunningham och döptes sedan om till Notholepiota areolata som typen av arten av släktet Notholepiota av Egon Horak 1971. En molekylär fylogenetisk studie fann att den hör hemma i Boletus sensu strict , men namnet Boletus areolatus var upptaget, så det döptes om till Boletus semigastroideus .
