Mike Kable Young Gun Award (även kallad Mike Kable Rookie of the Year ) är ett årligt pris för motorracing som hedrar prestationerna för en nybörjarförare under 30 år som tävlar i antingen Supercars Championship eller Super2 Series på andra nivån . Tony Cochrane , ordförande för mästerskapets organisation Australian Vee Eight Supercar Company (AVESCO), anstiftade utmärkelsen i juni 2000. Den är uppkallad efter Mike Kable, en australisk motorjournalist, motorsportpublicist och mentor för unga racerförare. Priset delas ut till den nybörjarförare som bedöms ha presterat bäst under loppet av sin första säsong i båda mästerskapen efter en omröstning av en panel av motorsportexperter. Mottagaren får ett sponsringsbidrag på A$15 000 för att hjälpa till att utveckla sig själva. Vinnaren tillkännages vid seriens avslutningsgala i Sydney.

Den första vinnaren var Matthew White år 2000. Året därpå vann Stone Brothers Racing- föraren Marcos Ambrose priset. Ambrose, James Courtney , Rick Kelly , Scott McLaughlin och Mark Winterbottom är de fem mottagarna som har vunnit antingen Supercars Championship och/eller Bathurst 1000 i sina karriärer. Australiska förare har vunnit 20 gånger och nyzeeländare en gång. Ingen har vunnit mer än en gång; förare från andra klassens mästerskap har hedrats 14 gånger och Supercars-tävlande har vunnit vid 7 tillfällen. Mottagaren 2022 var Super2 Rookie of the Year-vinnaren, Matthew Payne , som körde för Grove Racing i 2022 Super2 Series .
