Chrisanthi Avgerou FBCS FAIS ( grekiska : Χρυσάνθη Αυγέρου ; född 1954) är en grekiskfödd brittisk forskare inom området Social Study of Information Systems, med fokus på informationsteknologi i utvecklingsländer . Hon är för närvarande professor i informationssystem vid London School of Economics and Political Science .

Avgerou är en Fellow i British Computer Society och Association for Information Systems (AIS), biträdande redaktör för The Information Society journal och Information Systems research Journal, och har varit ordförande för IFIP Technical Committee 9 , som utforskar sambandet mellan datorer och samhället

Hon har en kandidatexamen i matematik från University of Athens , en MSc i datavetenskap från Loughborough University och en doktorsexamen i informationssystem från London School of Economics .
