William Jacobs (31 oktober 1887 – 30 september 1953) var en amerikansk manusförfattare och producent för Warner Bros. Han skrev 13 Hollywood-filmer och producerade 59 till, inklusive musikaler.

Jacobs föddes den 31 oktober 1887 i Chicago , Illinois. Hans far, Abe, var scenchef på Majestic Theatre i Chicago.

Karriär

Jacobs gick med i Warner Bros. som manusförfattare 1934. Han skrev manus till flera filmer, inklusive Song of the Saddle .

Från 1938 till sin död producerade Jacobs filmer för Warner Bros. 1940 var han biträdande producent av Ladies Must Live . Han var aktiv som producent fram till 1953. Under dessa år producerade han 59 filmer och musikaler, inklusive Calamity Jane , Over the Goal , Christmas in Connecticut och Tea for Two .

Personligt liv och död

Jacobs avleddes av sin fru 1949. Han bodde på 1716 Chevy Chase Drive i Beverly Hills, Kalifornien .
