Sogen Con var en årlig tredagars animekongress som hölls under sommarmånaderna på Sioux Falls Convention Center i Sioux Falls, South Dakota . Det var ursprungligen baserat i Minnesota tills det flyttade före 2007 års konvent. Namnet på konventionen är baserat på det japanska ordet för prärie, sogen.
Programmering
Konventet innehåller artister, danser, återförsäljare, paneldiskussioner, Q&A-sessioner, videospel, röstskådespelare och workshops.
Historia
2011 startade Sogen Con en Kickstarter med målet att samla in $15 000 för att täcka kostnaderna för konventet. Problemen härrörde från arrangörernas (Otaku Incorporated) inblandning i två mindre framgångsrika stridigheter, KakkoiCon och Minneapolis Anime Convention (MAC), som hade ekonomiska frågor och personalfrågor. Konventet lyckades samla in pengarna på två veckor.
