Säsongen 1984–85 var den 83:e säsongen där Dundee tävlade på en skotsk nationell nivå och spelade i den skotska Premier Division . Dundee skulle sluta på 6:e plats. Dundee skulle också tävla i både Scottish League Cup och Scottish Cup , där de skulle nå kvartsfinalerna både i League Cup och Scottish Cup, innan de besegrades av Heart of Midlothian i den förra och av Celtic i den senare.
