Ruth Shaffrey

Dr Ruth Shaffrey FSA är en arkeolog .

Biografi

Shaffrey tilldelades sin doktorsexamen i arkeologi och geologi från University of Reading 1998. Hon är specialiserad på studiet av quern-stenar och kvarnstenar och är en arbetad stenspecialist för Oxford Archaeology . Hennes avhandling låg till grund för hennes BAR- volym från 2006 om romersk-brittiska quern-stenar. I februari 2021 rapporterade hon om upptäckten av en quern-sten dekorerad med en fallos från utgrävningar på A14-vägen i Cambridgeshire.

Shaffrey valdes till Fellow i Society of Antiquaries of London den 2 februari 2019.
