Neil De Marchi (född 1938), är en australisk ekonom och historiker av ekonomiskt tänkande och är professor vid Duke University . De Marchi är specialiserad på både undervisning och forskning som hänför sig till ekonomiska idéhistoria och marknadernas historia, men även på marknadernas funktion med ett specifikt fokus på konstmarknader. Hans verk har dykt upp i tidskrifter som Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Econometrics, European Journal for the History of Economic Thought och Art Bulletin. Han har också bidragit till stycken i olika böcker, efter att ha skrivit introduktioner till sådana verk som "Idealization in Economics, Poznan Studies 38" och ett biografiskt inlägg av John Stuart Mill för The Handbook of Economic Methodology. De Marchi fick sin Ph.D. från Australian National University 1970, efter att ha avslutat sin B.Phil. i nationalekonomi vid University of Oxford . Han tog också sin B.Ec. med förstklassiga utmärkelser 1960 från University of Western Australia . Han är en Distinguished Fellow i History of Economics Society.
