Megaxyela är ett släkte av sågflugor i familjen Xyelidae . Det finns cirka 13 beskrivna arter i Megaxyela , som finns i östra Nearctic och i den sydöstra delen av Östasien . Två fossila arter har upptäckts, i Colorado och Shandong, Kina.

Megaxyela är externa matare av träd i valnötsfamiljen, Juglandaceae.
