Malyon College grundades 1904 som Queensland Baptist College. Det blev Baptist Theological College of Queensland (BTCQ) och sedan Queensland Baptist College of Ministry (QBCM) innan det antog det nuvarande namnet för att hedra dess grundande rektor, TJ Malyon.
