Emanem Records är ett skivbolag och oberoende skivbolag som grundades i London , England 1974 av Martin Davidson och Madelaine Davidson för att spela in gratis improvisation .

Dess huvudkontor flyttade till New York City (1975–76), New Jersey (1979, inspelningar släppta som Quark Records ), Massachusetts (1979, inspelningar släppta som QED Records ) och Sydney (1986–88), och släppte cirka 25 skivor innan de återvände till London på 1990-talet och gav ut cd-skivor. Sedan 2013 har det varit baserat i Spanien . Etikettens slogan är "Oförfalskade ny musik för människor som gillar ny musik oförfalskad".

Det har blivit en produktiv källa för både nya inspelningar och arkivinspelningar, särskilt dess omfattande dokumentation av John Stevens och Spontaneous Music Ensembles arbete .

På 2000-talet gick Emanem med Evan Parkers Psi och Eddie Prévosts Matchless-etikett för att presentera Freedom of the City, en årlig improviserad musikfestival i London. Även om dess storlek och omfattning varierar från år till år beroende på finansiering, fortsatte det som ett årligt evenemang i flera år, med många av de inspelade föreställningarna utgivna på antingen Emanem eller Matchless.
