David Newton (gitarrist)
David Newton är en brittisk gitarrist, låtskrivare och skivproducent, mest känd som medlem i bandet Mighty Lemon Drops .

Newton har varit medlem i Active Restraint (1981–1983), Wild Flowers (1983–1984), Mighty Lemon Drops (1985–1993), Blue Airplanes (1992–1993), Starfish (1993–1994), Revolux ( 1995–1997), Fonda (1998–2003), Straight to Video (2001–2003), Twinstar (2003–2006), C86 All Stars (2006–2007), Bilston United (2006–nutid), Joshua Dreamz ( 2008) och senast David Newton och Thee Mighty Angels (2009–nutid).
Newton uppträder fortfarande ibland med sina egna band, C86 All Stars, Bilston United och nu senast David Newton och Thee Mighty Angels.
Producent
I slutet av 1990-talet flyttade Newton från Wolverhampton , England till södra Kalifornien, USA i januari 1995 (via fem år i Putney, London), där han bildade det kortlivade bandet Revolux med tidigare Seven Simons honcho och The The Guitarist Keith Joyner. Newton byggde sin egen personliga inspelningsstudio, Rollercoaster Recording.
Newton har producerat eller konstruerat skivor av The Little Ones , Happy Hollows, Everybody Was in the French Resistance...Now! , Kissing Tigers, the Soft Pack , Filmerna, Henry Clay People , The Blood Arm , Death to Anders , You Me & Iowa, Wait Think Fast, Lassie Foundation, Twinstar, Graham MacRae, Red Lightning – Alain Whyte ( Morrissey ) , Big Stone City, The Hush Now , Star Parts, One Silver Astronaut, Slow Car Crash, Transmissions and the Golden Years. Newton producerade Little Ones debut-EP, Sing Song , samt material från Blood Arm och Rat Fancy .
Newton har gjort enstaka arbeten som kompositör för tv-, film- och musikbibliotek, och har haft verk och kompositioner med i bland annat Gilmore Girls , The Osbournes , Buffy the Vampire Slayer och The Bill .
