Wojciech Samotij

Wojciech Samotij är en polsk matematiker som arbetar med kombinatorik , additiv talteori , Ramsey-teori och grafteori .

Utbildning och karriär

Han studerade vid universitetet i Wrocław där han 2007 fick sin magisterexamen i matematik och datavetenskap. Han doktorerade 2011 vid University of Illinois i Urbana-Champaign på grundval av sin avhandling med titeln Extremal Problems In Pseudo-random Graphs And Asymptotic Enumeration och skriven under ledning av József Balogh . Mellan 2010 och 2014 var han stipendiat vid Trinity College, Cambridge vid University of Cambridge . För närvarande är han docent vid Tel Avivs universitet . Han publicerade sitt vetenskapliga arbete i tidskrifter som Random Structures & Algorithms , Journal of the American Mathematical Society eller Israel Journal of Mathematics .

Han fick 2013 Kuratowski-priset, 2013 års europeiska pris i kombinatorik och 2016 års George Pólya-pris .
