William Hallock

Hallock 1886

William Hallock, Ph.D., D.Pharm. (1857–1913) var en amerikansk fysiker, född i Milton, New York . Han tog examen från Columbia College 1879 och fick doktorsexamen. från Würzburg , Tyskland 1881.

Han tjänstgjorde som professor i kemi och toxikologi vid National College of Pharmacy 1889–92, och som fysiker vid United States Geological Survey från 1882 till 1891, och återvände sedan till Columbia som adjungerad professor i fysik 1892.

Han blev professor 1902 och var dekanus vid den renvetenskapliga fakulteten (1906–09).

Professor Hallock skrev Outlines of the Evolution of Weights and Measures and the Metric System ( 1906).
