Svavel Aeon

Sulphur Aeon är ett tyskt death metal -band som grundades 2010. Bandet har släppt tre fullängdsstudioalbum. Det första albumet, Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide släpptes 2013 och det senaste, The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos 2018.

Historia

Bandet grundades 2010 av Torsten Horstmann. Tillsammans med producenten Simon Werner spelades den första demot in och släpptes. Simon Werner och Torsten Horstmann hade tidigare spelat tillsammans i bandet December Flower.

Bandets album tematiserar Cthulhu Mythos , som också finns i albumens konstverk.

2013 släpptes Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide på etiketten Imperium Productions. Efter att ha skrivit på hos Ván Records följde det andra albumet Gateway to the Antisphere 2015. I januarinumret 2019 av German Metal Hammer magazine, röstades albumet The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos , som släpptes 2018, till "Månadens album" av The redaktörer. Albumet fick många positiva recensioner när det släpptes och recensenterna av powermetal.de webbplats kallade det ett "Meisterwerk" ( mästerverk ). Även Rock Hard kallade albumet för ett "mästerverk" och betygsatte det 9 av 10. Musikreviews.de gav albumet 13 av 15. En musikvideo släpptes till låten Yuggothian Spell , baserad på Lovecrafts The Haunter of the Dark .

Bandet spelade på Rock Hard Festival 2016 och det är bokat till bland annat Metal Hammer Paradise och Party.San [
