Seon Manley (7 januari 1921 – 11 mars 2009), var en amerikansk redaktör och författare som arbetade med sin syster Gogo Lewis. Hon arbetade med det övernaturliga, berättelser om spänning och skräck samt biografier.

Biografi

Janet Helen Givens föddes i Connecticut den 7 januari 1921 till Webster Crane Givens och Carolyn McLean. Hennes examen var från Wellesley College . Hennes mamma dog när hon var ung och hon och hennes syster skickades för att bo hos sina morföräldrar i New York en tid. Hon blev annonschef för förlaget Vanguard Press . Manley började redigera böcker för Vanguard, inklusive kritiska verk som de av Eugene Jolas . Manley redigerade också antologier med skräckhistorier, mestadels med sin syster Gogo Lewis. Edward Gorey skapade omslagen till åtta av dessa från 1973 till 1979. Manley skrev också om platserna och människorna hon mötte och olika tider i hennes liv i en serie mestadels självbiografiska böcker. Tillsammans med sin man redigerade hon en bok om The Age of Manager som följde med hans konsultföretag. De skapade också böcker om historien om ett urval av stränder och öar och människorna som är involverade i dem. Manley 2009. Hennes man var Robert Russell Manley Jr, med vilken hon fick dottern Shivaun.
