John R. Clarke (historiker)

John R. Clarke är Annie Laurie Howard Regents professor i konst, University of Texas i Austin , som undervisar vid Institutionen för konst och konsthistoria. Clarke (Ph.D. Yale, 1973), började på University of Texas i Austin 1980. Hans forskning och undervisning fokuserar på romersk konst och arkeologi, konsthistorisk metodik, sextiotalets konst och digital modellering.

Clarke var förvaltare av American Academy i Rom (2011–2013), medlem av styrelsen för American Council of Learned Societies, (2000–2010), och satt i styrelsen för College Art Association ( 1991–2001—president 1998–2000). Han är 2017 mottagare av guldmedaljen för Distinguished Achievement in Archaeology från Archaeological Institute of America .
