Halperin gissningar

I rationell homotopi-teorin gäller Halperin - förmodan den Serre-spektrala sekvensen av vissa fibrationer. Den är uppkallad efter den kanadensiske matematikern Stephen Halperin .

Påstående

Antag att $F\to E\to B$ är en fibrering av enkelt sammankopplade utrymmen så att $F$ är rationellt elliptisk och $\chi (F) \neq 0$ (dvs $F$ har en Euler-karakteristik som inte är noll ), då kollapsar Serre-spektralsekvensen som är associerad med fibreringen på $E_{2}$ -sidan.

Status

Från och med 2019 är Halperins gissning fortfarande öppen. Gregory Lupton har omformulerat gissningen i termer av formalitetsrelationer.
