Gertrude Lippincott Award

Gertrude Lippincott Award är ett årligt pris för bästa engelskspråkiga artikel inom området dansstudier. Tidigare belönades den av Society of Dance History Scholars ; sedan 2017 delas den ut av Dansvetenskapsförbundet.

Priset på 500 dollar är uppkallat efter modern danslärare och mentor Gertrude Lippincott och hedrar ett exemplariskt dansstipendium. Ms. Lippincott hedrades själv 1973 med National Dance Association's Heritage Award för sina bidrag till dansutbildningen. Hon var en av grundarna av Congress on Research in Dance och Modern Dance Center i Minneapolis. Hon var också redaktör för tidskrifterna Dance Observer och Dance Magazine .
