Foothill konferens
Foothill Conference var en atletisk collegekonferens som är ansluten till California Community College Athletic Association . Flera community colleges var medlemmar tills det formellt upplöstes våren 2016.
Historia
The Foothill Conference bildades 1988. Konferensens rötter kan dock spåras till 1981 när den enda fotbollskonferensen Foothill Conference bildades.
Foothill Conference var en utlöpare av Southern California Conference, som inkluderade många av de Los Angeles- baserade community colleges. Grundande medlemmar av Foothill Conference var högskolorna Antelope Valley , Citrus , Chaffey , Desert , East Los Angeles , Mount San Jacinto , Rio Hondo , San Bernardino Valley och Victor Valley .
Två högskolor, East Los Angeles College och Citrus College, lämnade så småningom konferensen. Barstow College och Cerro Coso Community College anslöt sig senare som heltidsdeltagare.
Hösten 2013 var San Jacinto och Antelope Valley värd för andra atletiska konferenser. Mt. San Jacinto accepterades som medlem av Pacific Coast Conference medan Antelope Valley flyttade till Western State Conference South Division.
Avgången från berget San Jacinto och Antelope Valley gjorde konferensen till den minsta i delstaten, vilket så småningom ledde till en undergång.
