David-William Gibson är en amerikansk journalist, författare, radiovärd och kulturkritiker. Han delade ett National Magazine Award 2016 för sitt arbete med "This Is the Story of One Block in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn" för tidningen New York .

Gibson har publicerat två muntliga historier: Not Working: People Talk About Losing a Job and Finding their Way in Today's Changing Economy and The Edge Becomes the Center: An Oral History of Gentrification in the 21st Century , som vann det första Brooklyn Eagle Literary Prize som tilldelades av Brooklyn Public Library och en 2016 Independent Publisher Book Awards Gold Medal. Han har skrivit för Harper's , The New York Times , The Washington Post , The Nation och The Village Voice . Han har bidragit on-air till NPR :s All Things Considered och Midday on WNYC
