B. Anthony Bogues

B. Anthony Bogues är en karibisk politisk teoretiker, intellektuell historiker, författare och curator och för närvarande chef för Center for the Study of Slavery & Justice vid Brown University och Asa Messer-professorn i humaniora och kritisk teori. Han var hedersforskarprofessor vid University of Cape Town och är för närvarande gästprofessor och curator vid Visual Identities in Art and Design Research Center, University of Johannesburg . Han är också gästprofessor i afrikansk och afrikansk diasporatanke vid Free University of Amsterdam (VU)

2012 var Bogues också Distinguished Faculty Fellow, Marta Sutton Weeks Distinguished Visitor vid Stanford University . Han har skrivit mycket om afrikansk och afrikansk diaspora politisk teori och intellektuell historia, inklusive verk om CLR James , Sylvia Wynter och George Lamming . Bogues kuraterar och skriver om haitisk konst , och han var curator för The Art of Haiti: Loas, History and Memory , en utställning på Colorado Springs Museum (10 februari 2018–20 maj 2018).

Bogues har en doktorsexamen i politisk teori från University of the West Indies, Mona (1994).
