Andrew Caplin

Andrew S. Caplin (född 15 juni 1956 i London, England) är en brittisk ekonom, nu bosatt i USA, där han tog sin doktorsexamen. från Yale University 1983. Han är professor i nationalekonomi vid New York University , meddirektör för Center for Experimental Social Science och forskningsassistent vid National Bureau of Economic Research . Caplins forskning fokuserar på sex områden: (1). ekonomi och psykologi ( beteendeekonomi ,) (2.) odelbarhet och ekonomiskt utfall, (3.) livscykelkonsumtion och portföljval, (4.) fastighetsfinansiering och (5.) individuella skillnader och utfall i ekonomi och politik.

Caplin har publicerat omfattande och fungerar som medredaktör tillsammans med Andrew Schotter från Oxford University Press /CESS-serien av publikationer med titeln "Methods of Modern Economics", är fellow i Econometric Society , en biträdande redaktör för Quarterly Journal of Economics , co. -redaktör för Economic Inquiry , och har vittnat om allmän bostadspolitik inför USA:s kongress.
